Brentford Draft Vision Workshop

Dear Subscriber,

Following the recent Commonplace survey on the Reimagining Hounslow’s Town Centres project you asked us to keep in touch with you.

We have been using your comments (summary documents of which can be found on our earlier news post) to develop a draft vision for each town centre and would now like your views on these emerging ideas. The purpose of these visions is to set out a clear direction for the future each town centre, and agree the priorities for future activity, investment and positive change.

Alongside a survey for our residents, businesses and visitors (which can be accessed here), we will be running public workshops to discuss the emerging visions for each town centre. These will include a presentation from the urban design team and small-group workshop sessions to discuss ideas in more detail.

• Brentford and Chiswick 5pm on Monday 8th March

• Hounslow and Feltham 5pm on Thursday 11th March

There will be limited places available to ensure everyone can participate in the discussions.

The workshops will be held over Zoom and a link will be sent on the day of the workshop.

Summary of Brentford Responses

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your views about Hounslow’s town centres and ideas for their future development. In the survey in 2020 (September and November) we asked residents, visitors, businesses and stakeholders to comment on issues and ideas for each town centre.

We have read all your comments carefully and a summary of your responses on Brentford can be found here: Commonplace summary report - Brentford.pdf

Your comments and ideas have been used to develop a vision for the future for each town centre. The purpose of these visions is to set out a clear direction for each town centre to support them to prosper, evolve and innovate, and to agree the priorities for future investment and positive change.

We would now like your views on these emerging visions. A survey will go live on Citizenspace (www.haveyoursay.hounslow.gov.uk) on Friday 19th February and stay open until Monday 15th March.

The revised Vision documents will be published later in the Spring after your feedback has been analysed and taken into account, and the visions adapted.

Town Centres Commonplace Engagement Closed

Dear Subscriber,

Thank you for signing up to project updates regarding the London Borough of Hounslow’s Town Centres engagement. This stage of our engagement has now closed.

We are very pleased to say we have received over 1,800 comments and over 9,500 agreements across the town centres.

We are now working with external consultants to review and summarise responses, and hope to feedback the findings before the end of the year.

We will continue to work with all our local communities in the new year, to create practical, deliverable and tailored visions to support the future of our town centres.

We are very grateful to you for taking the time to share your views and tell us about your vision for the future of your town centres.
